Scentree: raw materials information platform
The aim of my blog, which has been running for more than 10 years now, is to give you a behind-the-scenes look at perfume and to share as much knowledge as possible about perfume and its raw materials. Here is an initiative that I find very interesting and that I share with you.
Two years ago, Thomas Espinasse and Maxime Baud, students of the Master MSc of ISIPCA, imagined and developed a website: www.scentree.co in order to share the results of their work; this website is now operational. This site is also collaborative, interactive and free of charge and is currently available in French. The aim of this site is to gather all the information and knowledge on the raw materials of perfumery: natural and synthetic, olfactory descriptions, technical data, chemistry, botany, regulations. This site will be available to the general public, where they will be able to obtain information on certain natural raw materials. It will also help to decipher the allergens indicated on the packaging, the objective being to make the subject of allergenic raw materials, which are regulated, less dramatic.
