A New Adventure
It is with great emotion that I invite you to discover my first Collection, my first creations imagined for my young perfume brand Sylvaine Delacourte. Five caresses nestled in their bottles which will be sold exclusively on a site that I have imagined to be "different".
Besides the creation of my new perfume line, I am lucky enough to remain a consultant for the beautiful House of Guerlain to which I am so attached.
Here are some elements that I want to share with you. The launch with the press and bloggers will be done this Thursday and Friday, but I wanted to warn you personally as soon as possible my dear readers. We have imagined a real discovery experience where I take you on an olfactory journey to understand the inspiration for the perfume, the raw materials that drive it and the behind-the-scenes of the creation. Everything that guided me in the creation of each perfume and finally share your feelings and sensations with us, without intermediaries.
For this first Collection, I wanted to highlight ONE star raw material. It is embracing, it combines comfort and sensuality. It is musk, pashmina made of perfume. This caressing effect of musk - or rather musks - is rich in nuances, in various evocations: rice steam, clean, raspberry, talcum powder, the smell of skin. The first challenge was to give these tenacious notes, which are not very diffusive, a momentum, a flight. The second was to give each perfume a different face, to find revelators that express their singular personalities.

Musk / Olfactory Pashmina
It means gift in Lithuanian, a white, diaphanous vapour. It offers the softness of a light petal. This fresh musk evokes the smell of good old-fashioned soaps and is enriched with a hint of iris, a touch of heliotrope and a hint of vanilla.
The sunny princess and queen of perfumery. A yellow aura that settles on the skin and is inhaled like a cuddly toy. Ylang-ylang and jasmine, woven into a radiant and sensual fragrance that smells like sun-warmed skin. This generous caress is illuminated by a zest of exotic lime.
This fragrance has the powdery, velvety tenderness of the talcum powder of my childhood. A melody in blue. It is dressed in my favourite materials: gourmand almond, noble Florence iris, heliotrope and carnation, whose spicy character enhances this garland of flowers. Vetiver root gives it a woody vibration.
Means emerald in Italian, a bouquet of green leaves. Its heart of musks is animated by a vegetal freshness spiked with bursts of citrus fruits such as the frisky yuzu, and crunchy notes such as angelica root (a reminder of my mother's cakes). The resinous note of mastic is the final touch.
A trail between grey and taupe, its name sounds like that of a hero, a dark god who would blow over the Corsican maquis and carry away the everlasting flower petals in his momentum. This spicy flower (whose botanical name is helicrysum) is accompanied by dense, warm, almost mystical materials: tonka bean, patchouli, incense and benzoin.
Bottles / Boxes
My perfumes are embodied, created like portraits, they have a face, a name... This inspiration comes from a visit to the Farnese Palace in Rome. One painting alone summed up all these ideas of a "portrait perfume". To contain these characters, it needed a generous bottle that would fit in the palm of the hand. It also needed a well-made head: a rich, gold-coloured cap. I chose to insert these bottles in a pretty metal box that could be reused over and over again to match the cap. Around the box, a band decorated with the drawings of the raw materials contained in each of the fragrances. In the box is a portrait card drawn by a young graphic artist, a reference to the painting I discovered in Rome.
